Keep this philosophy in mind the next time you either hear or are about to repeat a rumor.

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom. One day the great philosopher came upon an acquaintance who ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied. "Before you tell me, I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Test of Three."

"Three?"

"That's right, Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my student let's take a moment to test what you're going to say. The first test is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's True or not."

"Now let's try the second test, the test of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him even though you're not certain it's true?"

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.

Socrates continued. "You may still pass though, because there is a third test - the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be Useful to me?"

"No, not really..."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me at all?"

The man was defeated and ashamed. This was the reason Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

Of course, it also may explain why Socrates never found out that Plato was cavorting with his wife ;)

Jessi Slaughter

"Jessi Slaughter is a disturbed 11-year-old girl posing as a 16-year-old, potential Maury guest and chronic sufferer of GOTIS. Jessi wants you to know that she is so much prettier than you, has more friends, and more people like her and so mature for her age that her parents, Gene and Dianne, turn a blind eye when it comes to her extracurricular activities: partying until she passes out, fucking until she bleeds and telling anyone and everyone who'll listen all about her crazy life on YouTube."
http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Jessi_Slaughter

i'm sorry i just HAD to rant about this!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPxEpwPHyJ8
Jessi Slaughter became famous because she was posting videos on youtube, and so some people put some hater comments on the videos, she couldn't handle it, so she made this video, and dragged her family into it.

IT'S THE PARENTS TO BLAME
This girl, 11 years old has posted not so appropiate pictures, gotten lip piercings (she say it in one of her videos) wears as much make up as a drag queen, and talks about her "sexual history" all with the parnet's permission. I've never seen such horrible parents in my life. First of all, if your daughter cannot handle some little hater comments, why are you letting her roam in a PG14 place without supervision? Why have you given her a webcam? And instead of helping her realize reaility, you (the dad) threaten these people with the cyber police? For some hater comments? Do you know how pathetic that is, the cyber police is not going to care! You should be making your kid play outside in the sun with her friends and not on the computer screaming profanity, and being a VERY brainwashed girl. HOW ARE YOU EVEN LETTING HER WEAR MAKE UP. AND PIERCINGS! If your daughter is reciving death threats then the best solution is.... gee let me think... should she even be wandering into the internet if she's that sentimental and clueless about the world, should she be making videos on YOUTUBE a PG14 when we know she doesn't know anything of what she's taling about? Hm do you know what she can find on the internet? gee well it's the internet that seems to be the problem no? THEN MAKE HER GET OUT OF THE INTERNET.
FOR THE GIRL
As an outsider, i say, she would of been very different if she was in aother family, but, she wasn't, so couldn't she have questioned herself? Well, apparently not. Look girl, there's something wrong if your making videos that are meaning less and pointless with swearing all the time and your getting into arguements with people who are MUCH more older than you. You should be outside playing not on the computer crying and saying things like "YOUR RUINING MY LIFE! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR HATING ON ME!"
You sound Pathetic! Maybe if you stopped making videos then, people would stop hating because they would have nothing to make fun of, get yourself out of the position!! ..... but you didn't think that huh? So now well i guess you already screwed up.

Waka Waka

From the Blog, "Mi Blog Es Tu Blog" (Go see it it's awesome!)

"If you are remotely familiar with Univision and it’s exclusive Spanish-language rights to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, I’m certain you have heard the now ubiquitous Waka-Waka, a melody everybody wants us to believe was written from scratch by the super famous 33-year old Colombian singer Shakira.

Well… years before the hip-queen even reached puberty, the Waka-Waka was already a sensation, first performed live on Latin American television by the wonderful Las Chicas del Can, under the original title of Waka-Waka: El Negro no puede, freely translated by myself as: Waka-Waka The Black Guy Can’t Get it Up. "

Shakira was one of my favorite singers as a toddler. Her old songs in spanish are incredible. I love her, but, lately her new songs have been disapointing me. Especially this incident. I'm not sure if she claimed that Waka Waka (which by the way means, "go for it" as in encouragement) was her own song, or she admitted if it was a cover. But either way, people think that it's Shakira's, and i just want people to know. My friends groan when i bring it up. They're ignorent, i pity them. One of them even said"Copying isn't bad." I felt like getting out of that room already. Sure, their singer can copy a song but if we steal an idea for a school project from them, then they say it's unfair. Copying, i think, is just not being cool. The genius, who comes up with something original, uses their brain and creative skills to come up with it. While, the copy-cat steals it making no effort to cme up with something on their own. They don't have the skills, or creativity.
Shakira does though.... she just got greedy for the money.

Project Natal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBOoK424YnM&feature=related

Microsoft annouces Project Natal at E3 2009, from this video you can see that microsoft is obviously trying to compete with the very famous Wii console by Nintendo, however it seems from this video to be even better then the Wii, looking even more advanced. It is truly amazing how advanced gaming is becoming, one can only imagine what it will be like in the distant future.
Well, we know one thing, i don't think there's going to be anymore fat gamers. (No offense meant to anyone)

A Genius Observation

The university professor challenged his students with this question: Did God create everything that exists?

The students bravely replied, "Yes, he did!"
"God created everything? The professor asked. "Yes sir", the students replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil. Since evil exists, and according to the principal that works define who we are then God is evil". The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"
"Of course"! , replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word.

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light "present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist? Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light." The professor sat down. The young man's name - > > Albert Einstein.

Maybe it wasn't Einstein, but whoever came up with this must of been pretty bright. It's a new observation.

US Troops Kill Innocent Civilians

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13qWADMfQnQ&feature=related

WikiLeaks has released a video taken from a US Apache helicopter showing the murder of two Reuters journalists in Iraq in 2007. Not just two journislists, but unarmed civilions were also shot. Not to mention, there were two kids injured during the attack also. The video has raised new questions about rules of engagement in battle, liability of soldiers for their actions and the mindset of US soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The video, allegedly taken from inside an Apache helicopter flying over Baghdad on July 12, 2007, shows the shooting deaths of two Reuters journalists, Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen while audio reveals that the soldiers mistook the cameras the journalists were carrying for AK-47s.
"The soldiers are treating war like a video game," said RTs Kristine Frazao, who attended the video release and watched the footage. I too thought that as i watched it. None of the media systems have showed this video in news, or even bothered to bring it up to our attention.
Notice how the video was made in 2007, it is brought 3 years later, and it's only one video. If this happens in one video, what other things can be happining in other videos that are yet not seen.
As i looked at youtube videos about this i saw this one comment that get me really frustrated with people's ignorance.
snmatthews said:
"If we didn't have other countries coming into the us high jacking our planes and then nose diving them into our buildings killing many of our innocent and others from around the world then maybe we wouldn't have to act on such a short response in a country that wants to see us all dead. everyday there millions of people in all countrys looseing the loved ones because of selfish acts of others ."
Many of you are probably thinking like this, clearly this person is talking about 9-11. Whether or not you believe that governments carry out "false flag" terror, you might reasonably assume that the 9/11 Commission investigated September 11th, and concluded that Osama Bin Laden and his group of terrorists were solely responsible. Than i have a website that will make you a bit skeptical.
http://911proof.com/1.html
I hope you have the willingness to look at the proof about 9-11.
But moving on, back to the video, i found a comment i like.

"If america realy want's to rid the world of Terrorist,s they should start by charging these disgusting Animal's with Murder,They must be mentally unstable to enjoy ending the lives of other Human beings,How many lives have been destroyed because of these trigger happy scumbags."

Girls Can Do Anything A Boy Can

I've always had this dream of mine. Being the first woman in the NFL. I don't think I'll ever make it. But i like to dream about it. It be really neat... a woman in the NFL. It's hard enough for a guy to get in but a girl? Take the few girls that play high school football. Very, very few are starters. Only 1% of all high school football players ever play in college. What are the odds that there is one high school girl who is better than 99% of all of the other players? She'd have to be all-state in her position.

Now, to get to the NFL, she'd have to be in the top 1% of all college football players. So far, only one female has ever played in a college game. She was a kicker, and not one of the best. So you're going to need to find a female football player better than 99% of the college players. Again, that person has to be an all-American or at least all-conference.

That's why it's nearly impossible even for a guy to make it. BUT, I belive that one day there may be the woman with the size and athleticism and determination to play in the NFL. And you can't say that woman are not allowed to play........ Gregg Easterbrook (Tuesday Morning Quarterback) had a column where he discussed some of the complications of gender reassignment. Addressing the question of the eligibility of someone who has been reassigned to play in the NFL, he consulted the league itself. According to Greg Aiello (NFL Spokesman), "The NFL has no male-only rule. All human beings are eligible, as long as they are three years out of high school and have a usable football skill set."

Easterbrook went on to say, "Prep and college football have experienced huge controversies about whether girls and women can play. There's never going to be huge controversy in the NFL, because the decision is already made - woman are welcome,"

So, the question is not whether or not you are a woman. The question is whether or not you are good enough. =)

What Do You Think Of Football?
Should Girls Be Allowed? (or are you boys too scared we can kick your butt?)

Defending Kittys

So there are people who are cat lovers and there are people who are dog lovers, but whatever it is you like, we love our pets. But every single one of them have their ups and downs. Right now it's just gonna be all about the kittys, cause I'm a cat lover and i know too many cat haters.

Cats take care of themselves. Did you ever notice how often you will see cats grooming themselves? After eating, being in rain or snow, and after a tussle with another animal, cats will take a few moments to lick a paw and use it to wipe their faces, ears, and other hard-to-reach places. You'll never have to bathe your cat. (Well sort of) She can handle the job herself.

Felines make good friends. Cats seem to have that sixth sense that tells them when something is wrong in their owner's life. If you feel down, frustrated, or irritated, your kitty may come running to wrap herself around your leg or jump into your lap and nuzzle your chin. She will cuddle alongside you for a nap, feeling secure beside the one person in the world she can trust. And i know this for sure because of my own feline buddy.

You know the saying, cats seem to have nine lives. They land on their feet after a fall and find their way home after being lost. Look at the stories about cats that were locked in a basement or trapped in a newly constructed house wall for days and yet surviving to return to their masters. Certain cats can even co-exist with dogs or other cats, despite their seemingly spoiled nature. =D

Now... Kittys aren't perfect i admit it. A few negative traits.

Face it... NOBODY LIKES cat hair all over the place. They like to sleep anywhere and everywhere, knock things over. The litter box is the worst thing..... ("Pee-yew what's that smell... OH, MR.WHISKERS!!") but easy to maintain if you do it daily. They have a bit of diva inside so sometimes they want all your attention and sometimes they want nothing to do with you. But what other animal have that kind of personality? Their nails can get hard to get use to for most people. They might scratch and bite but they don't mean it they just want to play. =)

So yes i would say the cat is my favorite animal. But then again i love all animals. The entire Animal Kingdom. Monkeys, giraffes, tigers, wolves, everything.
And to say which one is my least favorite would be like saying what's your least favorite color of the rainbow! Because no matter what, all animals are precious.
