Girls Can Do Anything A Boy Can

I've always had this dream of mine. Being the first woman in the NFL. I don't think I'll ever make it. But i like to dream about it. It be really neat... a woman in the NFL. It's hard enough for a guy to get in but a girl? Take the few girls that play high school football. Very, very few are starters. Only 1% of all high school football players ever play in college. What are the odds that there is one high school girl who is better than 99% of all of the other players? She'd have to be all-state in her position.

Now, to get to the NFL, she'd have to be in the top 1% of all college football players. So far, only one female has ever played in a college game. She was a kicker, and not one of the best. So you're going to need to find a female football player better than 99% of the college players. Again, that person has to be an all-American or at least all-conference.

That's why it's nearly impossible even for a guy to make it. BUT, I belive that one day there may be the woman with the size and athleticism and determination to play in the NFL. And you can't say that woman are not allowed to play........ Gregg Easterbrook (Tuesday Morning Quarterback) had a column where he discussed some of the complications of gender reassignment. Addressing the question of the eligibility of someone who has been reassigned to play in the NFL, he consulted the league itself. According to Greg Aiello (NFL Spokesman), "The NFL has no male-only rule. All human beings are eligible, as long as they are three years out of high school and have a usable football skill set."

Easterbrook went on to say, "Prep and college football have experienced huge controversies about whether girls and women can play. There's never going to be huge controversy in the NFL, because the decision is already made - woman are welcome,"

So, the question is not whether or not you are a woman. The question is whether or not you are good enough. =)

What Do You Think Of Football?
Should Girls Be Allowed? (or are you boys too scared we can kick your butt?)

Defending Kittys

So there are people who are cat lovers and there are people who are dog lovers, but whatever it is you like, we love our pets. But every single one of them have their ups and downs. Right now it's just gonna be all about the kittys, cause I'm a cat lover and i know too many cat haters.

Cats take care of themselves. Did you ever notice how often you will see cats grooming themselves? After eating, being in rain or snow, and after a tussle with another animal, cats will take a few moments to lick a paw and use it to wipe their faces, ears, and other hard-to-reach places. You'll never have to bathe your cat. (Well sort of) She can handle the job herself.

Felines make good friends. Cats seem to have that sixth sense that tells them when something is wrong in their owner's life. If you feel down, frustrated, or irritated, your kitty may come running to wrap herself around your leg or jump into your lap and nuzzle your chin. She will cuddle alongside you for a nap, feeling secure beside the one person in the world she can trust. And i know this for sure because of my own feline buddy.

You know the saying, cats seem to have nine lives. They land on their feet after a fall and find their way home after being lost. Look at the stories about cats that were locked in a basement or trapped in a newly constructed house wall for days and yet surviving to return to their masters. Certain cats can even co-exist with dogs or other cats, despite their seemingly spoiled nature. =D

Now... Kittys aren't perfect i admit it. A few negative traits.

Face it... NOBODY LIKES cat hair all over the place. They like to sleep anywhere and everywhere, knock things over. The litter box is the worst thing..... ("Pee-yew what's that smell... OH, MR.WHISKERS!!") but easy to maintain if you do it daily. They have a bit of diva inside so sometimes they want all your attention and sometimes they want nothing to do with you. But what other animal have that kind of personality? Their nails can get hard to get use to for most people. They might scratch and bite but they don't mean it they just want to play. =)

So yes i would say the cat is my favorite animal. But then again i love all animals. The entire Animal Kingdom. Monkeys, giraffes, tigers, wolves, everything.
And to say which one is my least favorite would be like saying what's your least favorite color of the rainbow! Because no matter what, all animals are precious.
